Pastor Ryan Kiblinger continues his teaching on the Heidelberg Catechism. In this sixteenth installment, Pastor Ryan examines questions 40 , 41, 42, 43, and 44. These questions are “Why was it necessary for Christ to humble himself even unto death?”, “Why was he buried?”, “Since Christ has died for us, why do we still have to die?”, “What further benefit do we receive from Christ’s sacrifice and death on the cross?”, and “Why is there added: He descended into hell?”. Thus, Pastor Ryan addresses topics related to Jesus’ death, burial, sin, the effects of Christ, and hell.
